Outdoor Dining Activation

The Task 

As part of the Victorian State Government’s Outdoor Dining Initiative in late 2020, to combat the limitations felt by the hospitality industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, we work with the Latrobe City Council to trial the concept of creating outdoor dining spaces to help extend the commercial space of trader’s premises.

Held in two locations within Morwell, we created outdoor dining spaces that hosted live music, games and activities for the kids as well as serving up great food from local participating cafes and restaurants.

With a project delivery timeline of two weeks, we worked on quickly creating the necessary event documentation, specifically COVIDSafe compliancy, logistics, planning, and a little styling.

The activations we’re held across Saturday 4 – Sunday 5 November, in conjunction with the town’s International Rose Garden Festival, with people encouraged to grab a bite to eat during the lunch and dinner services before or after attending the festival.
